----Middle Cherry----
Middle Cherry was a low flow cruiser with amazing blackberry bushes that supplied a much needed nutrition boost from the partying at the Kaweah's. We had a chill day on Middle Cherry the day before hiking into West Cherry.Barny Young - Middle Cherry (p. Nick Murphy)
Leaving a spray painted gound pad to signify Korbulic where to go- it worked! (p. Barny Young)
----West Cherry----
One of the biggest goals of the summer was to make it to West Cherry and run the huge Graceland Slide which lay high above the normal put in and this is exactly what we did. The crew consisted of Charles King, Barney Young, Chris Korbulic, Jake Greenbaum and Myself. The hike in ended up taking us 5 hours of hard work finding our way to the river with no designated trail. We all fired up Graceland with King and Korbulic actually hiking back up for seconds on the beastly rapid. The slide was so big but amazingly good to go, the essence of what makes Cali so good! The scenery and camping were top notch in the granite landscape and offered memorable star gazing and down time. Highlights of the trip were the Graceland slide, Beaver slide which was so good, and the blind charge laid down after the confluence with Upper Cherry- Oh Yeah!!!----West Cherry----
